thoughts on boston

I just want to say how grateful I am that not very many
people were seriously injured or killed.
I find it terrible that a little 8 yr old boy, cheering
on his dad running was one of the 3.

I didn't know anyone running but my friend
did qualify to go run but couldn't due to injury
in hindsight she does believe God was watching
out for her and protecting her

this one photo is one I have gone back to view a lot
and it just hits my heart. this man lost both legs.
such a devastating day.

read the quote below and this pretty much sums
up how I feel.

Runners are a strong breed. Especially marathoners and
ultra runners, these people are so intense and passionate
about life, fitness, health and family. They are definitely
the wrong group to target.

having something like this happen really does
make me think i'm never going out in public again
but is that even realistic? You just need to
be aware of whats going on around you and be
prepared if something like this happens.
